1. Texts本教程选材广泛，注重经典性、时尚性、文学性、科普性，富于时代气息，具有可读性、示范性，力求贴近生活、贴近学生，语言难度由浅入深。每篇文章的选材都围绕该单元主题并经过仔细的考量和研读，可加深学生对单元主题的理解。各册文章长度梯级递增，符合学生不同阶段的学习要求。
2. Words and Expressions该部分列举了常用重难点词汇，便于帮助学生扩大词汇量，掌握更多具有特色的词汇，也有助于学生理解课文。
3. Notes该部分列举一些重难点句型和文化背景介绍，可以帮助学生加深对课文的理解，了解其蕴含的文化内涵。
4. Exercises练习侧重学生对语篇的理解和阅读技巧的训练，题型设计兼顾四六级考试题型，包含阅读理解、词义辨析、信息匹配以及完形填空等，帮助学生攻克阅读理解的难关。
各单元均附有二维码，二维码内容包含了与各单元主题相关的常用词汇及表达、习题各案、拓展阅读、诗歌欣赏、应用文写作范例等。
